Holiday accrued on maternity leave
Permalink Closed

Hi all,

Been getting my head in a muddle with this one!  (Doesn't take much).  One of my clients has an employee on maternity leave and I understand that you still accrue holiday whilst on maternity leave.  The Company's holiday year runs from 1 September to 31 August (being an educational establishment).  The employee had taken all her previous year's entitlement before she went on maternity leave around the beginning of September.

My question is, if the employee resigns part way through this current holiday year, how much holiday entitlement will she be paid for? The whole year's holiday entitlement or just the holiday entitlement that she has accrued up to the time she resigns?  (She was only working part-time two days a week, so her full year's entitlement was 11.2 days).
