Good evening to All ! I am starting a bookkeeping/management accounts role in practice next week. I have three days to prepare but don't know where to start - what in your opinion are the basics/skills I should feel comfortable doing in this role?
You don't say what skills / experience you come to the role with?
Hope that you're not completely fresh to the subject matter or three days isn't going to be anywhere near enough. I' assuming that you're not as you wouldn't have got the job but your introduction doesn't give a lot to go on for starters.
Let us know what your starting point is and we'll try and point you in the right direction of what you need to revise / brush up on to get you into your new role.
I'm going to be logging out for the night in a minute so fill out as much detail about the role as you understand it and your previous experience as you can and either myself or one of the other regulars will pick this up either later or tomorrow morning.
