keep going peasie and you'll hit the 1000 posts soon, lol.
Kris
After I'd hit "Ctrl V" for about the fourth time that thought did occur to me. Did you see the posts before they were removed? What did I miss? Going by the user name I guess it wasn't spam.
PS - surprised your post over in another place was allowed to stay.

Peasie, you seem to have bumped lots but I'm assuming that the reason behind the bumpos has been removed by site admin.
If not you need to clarify why you bumped the post giving the userid causing the issue.
cheers,
Shaun.

Yeah Shaun, there seemed to have been a lot of spam at about 10am today. When the user was deleted their name was left as the last poster causing some confusion. I think peasie was trying to clear that little issue.

The posts were gone by the time I was on this morning but the user name was still there in the recent posts page. When you went to see the last post there was no sign of it. When I clicked on the user named it had Banned next to it. I was just a bit angry at seeing the name so many times - all the posts at that time had the same "last post" by that user name. (The name chosen was of a recently deceased but not yet even buried football manager).

Must have been one heck of an offensive username to cause such a reaction from Stuart.

To be honest, I'm still not sure what it was all about. The posts were slightly relevant, there was no sales angle, no links. The spelling and grammar were terrible, but so is mine at times. I'm really not sure what was happening, one minute I was reading posts, next they're gone.
Ah.. football, that's why I didn't get it.

Hi Kris,
that's generally how they start.
The poster then gets up to around twenty posts then adds a link to their signature which gets populated into every post that they've made.
Sounds as though todays banning was a premptive strike by site admin.
