I am new to this forum, and would like to start off by saying a BIG Thank You to all the students of Training Link that voted for me at this year's ICB Awards Ceremony. Because of you all, I am so pleased to announce that I won Tutor of the Year! I am so grateful for those who were kind enough to take the time to do so. It was very much appreciated!
We're currently accepting plain brown envelopes stuffed with used twenties to state a site preference for training providers. (lol. Well, if it works for supervisory bodies with books!).
Actually, don't know if you've had chance to read many old threads yet but generally posts speak very highly of yourselves, Ideal schools and Premier training.
Good to have the presence of another professional body... Now what on earth are we going to say to HLC if they decide to join the site!
Hope to talk soon,
kind regards,
Shaun.

I think that will also involve a blow torch, a pair of pliers and the lie detector machine off the Jeremy Kyle show.

Thanks so much for your replies. This is all new to me, so I may not get this sending & replying lark right, but here goes!
I was so shocked to get that award, but so humbled by the whole experience! To be honest, I feel I was just doing my job, just like the other tutors nominated. I get a great satisfaction teaching them, and perhaps helping them reach their goals. The evening of the awards was exceptional. To be congratulated by fellow tutors was so humbling. I won't ever forget that night!
Anyway, enough about me. I hope to pop in now and then to see if I can help anyone, or even better, get some info from you guys.

That will depend on the presence or not of a moderator. And a word filter.
Hi Peasie,
difficult to moderate when you find yourself agreeing with the comments!

Lol. Just got this vision now of all the regulars turning up with pitchforks and burning torches.

I look forward to the day they are brave enough to join. Even if James tells us how happy people are with them, and how the bad days are over, I don't believe it. I can think of a few choice words, but I don't want to be banned again.
Well it wouldn't be by me matey... And I'm not shy at banning people. Three spammers disappeared at my assasins hand yesterday!

Welcome to the forum, oh great one we are not worthy and I bow in your presence. 11 replies within a day of your first posting, took me a posting of complaint to get my first welcome, well I do have a face for radio so it appears my reputation precedes me. lol
In all honesty Angie youre a special lady whose dedication and commitment to your position as Training Link tutor can only be admired, your one in a million and if Steve proves to be half as good as you then we will soon be the A team but I still want to be Mr T.
Now get off this forum and get back to work lol xxx
Dave
Ps Shamus I have noticed a couple of your posts with regards preferred training providers and the brown envelope is on its way

To be honest Dave, i thought your original post was spam and you were fishing for clients. I am relatively new to the world of studying for higher education and it can be a minefield out there when researching a training provider. I was honestly considering using the trainig provider who's name must not be spoken at one point, but i think i have chosen a good one.
Spam indeed, I suppose when a new provider shows their face on a forum it raises a few questions as to why but that good thing called time and 30 posts later showed I hope that was not the case, and besides it is good for the forum to get another training providers advice or views even if it differs from the original providers on the forum. To be fair Neil I see such good advice on here from people like Shamus my input is hardly needed, but I like to come on every now and then and read posts, some of which have me laughing out loud, the humour on this forum is excellent. In fact we should set up a BKN Forum comedy road show, and check out the Friday Joke on the ICB websites forum.
Spam has always been a nasty word even as a kid with those awful sandwiches lol.
All the best Neil and have a great weekend, come on the Villa
Dave

Thanks for your warm welcome and congratulations. Love you image!!!
I can see by reading your replies that you lot have fun on here. I will have to make sure I keep up with the topics too, as from what I've read following my introduction, some organisations are more welcome than others!
Anyway, will sign off now, as that Dave will be after me, cracking the whip! You know the type, don't you Neil?
the whip was before the award, now it is just red carpet and rose petals from me.
I am sure you will have a lot of input on here Angie, you join with a pre established good reputation and the forum can only be better with you part of it.
