I have just met a potential client who wants to change from completing their records on excel to a hosted Sage product, as a member of their family has recomended it.
I have not used any of Sage hosted solutions but have just found a link to Sage One, which looks like a good potential choice in this instance.
The client is not VAT Registered so I thought that Sage would be overkill but there is a Cashbook (non vat) option which may fit the bill.
Has anybody got any experience of either Sage Hosted or Sage One softwares? Your views would be appreciated.
I use Sage One for a client and in my opinion, it's still not there yet. I don't use the cashbook version so I can't comment on that, but an annoying thing in the full version is that you can't post payments on account.
There's also little niggly things for me with the interface. I don't like the way e.g. that you have to enter 4 digits for the year, an the date string doesn't accept e.g 260411 as 26/04/2011 and you have to physically input the "/" or use the calendar.
Maybe there's a programming reason for this, but it seems daft to me.
Edit: maybe have a look at Arithmo or Clear books as well.

That's odd as the normal version of Sage allows 260411. This annoys me as well. VT will allow you to put 26/4 and it will change to 26 April 2011. Or if there is only a few days difference between dates you can use the + or - to get to the correct date. The only close thing you get to that in Sage is Shift F6 will add one day on to the date above.
