The framework for accounting by charities sets out different requirements for different sizes and types of charity. To understand how it applies to your charity, you need to check:

(1)whether or not your charity is also a company;
(2)its income for the current financial year;
(3)the value of its assets;
(4)Whether or not it is required to be registered as a charity.

The Charity Commission's website has a section that deals with the accounting and reporting requirements of charities.  That would be a good place for you to start your research.
