I have just discovered this forum and it looks like a friendly community providing a wealth of information.
I am qualified to AAT Technician level but am seriously considering entering the world of self-employment as a Book-Keeper so will probably be asking some very simple/daft questions at a later date!
This is my very first experience of using a forum so please be gentle!
welcome to the forum. Hope that you enjoy it on here and looking forwards to some two way banter in the coming months.
fear not, we're a freindly bunch (despite a little bit of sillyness that kicked off on Sunday). Some threads can quickly go off topic and if your looking for anything inparticular it's better to do a google search of the site than go on headings as after the first couple of posts thread tend to go seriously off piste.
There are quiite a few qualified and student AAT bods on here. People like Lor have gone down the path that you are looking at (MAAT gone freelance bookkeeper) so there's people on here who have been there, done that and are great for a bit of help and support as you take those first tentative steps down the self employed route.
All the best,
Shaun.
P.S. There's a Saturday blog posted on here. You may find it good to read through pDm's blog posts as he's just starting out self employed and you may pick up some pointers by reading the issues that he's had to date.
P.S.2 edited because I put Gill rather than Jill. Sorry.
