You want PII that will cover you five years down the line when you get sued rather than only the current period whilst you are paying.
Many professional bodies require a tail off of period of at least six years.
What turnover does your quote cover you for? Is there an excess?
If you got sued what is tyhe likelihood of settlement by these insurers?
The site PII uses Zurich, it's £78 for £100k cover with no excess and the obligatory six year tail off so it's certainly worth checking them out before signing up with anyone else.
kind regards,
Shaun.
P.S. I have no links at all to Arlington Professional Risks. The information above is purely personal opinion and does not constitute advice.
P.S.2 £78 is the BKN members price. If your not a member already it's £24 per year to join BKN or £132 for the insurance without BKN membership so bit of a no brainer there.

Has anyone insured through the web site simply business.
I have just done a search for 8 quotes and the cheapest is with Glenham for £62.54. This is for £50,000 cover, this is a lot cheaper than any other quotes I have obtained. Is it too cheap?
For what it's worth, I changed to Arlington because there are knowlegable human beings at the end of their phone line who are interested in the client, their business and the sort of cover they needed etc etc. I also know that if I have a query about the cover, mid-term, they'll still happily speak to me and will probably remember who I am.
Compare and contrast, as they used to say (in exam questions)....
I changed to Arlington last November when mine was up for renewal. Was all dealt with quickly and efficiently via phone and email, and they were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend them on that basis alone.
