Hi, a friend has just submitted her accounts and tax comp to hmrc but they have been rejected, she needs to do this using XBRL format and ahs asked foo r my help. I dont understand it at all, is there anoyone who can guide me step by step as to what i need to do to tag the figures required and what codes are used for what figure, ie tag for gross profit etc ive searched hmrc website and all other sites for ages and just cannot grasp it

Hi Zigs

I am far from an expert but I understand there are only four mandatory items that need to be tagged.

This link takes you to VT Support, which tells you more about DIY tagging

Although I have heard it is not difficult, it not something I would try and do. I used VT Final Accounts which do it for you
