I've been checking around Sage for a while and can't find how to export P&L and Balance Sheet into Excel? Googled online and someone came up with suggestion of installing another software to help- can't believe it, suppose to be very simple task!
Take a look at optegramrp. Runs in excel and gives you full management accounts and graphs with no install required. Free extended trial for this forums members..

Mmmmm Sage would be really useful if its exports to excel looked anything like they should as Steve said you spend ages trying to get all the info in the correct columns. That's another thing QB has over Sage - it exports really well.
not sure which package you are on - line 50 has office integration where reports are generated in excel- you can also add reports like pnl monthly by editing the report slightly and saving to the excel file.
sorry just seen you are line 50 - you need to "add" to activate your excel integration. email me if stuck - info@completebookkeeping.co.uk

Thank you so much for your answers! At lease this proved that I didn't go mental!
Really can't believe that Sage Line 50, such a popular software with millions of users, even can't fulfill this very useful and simple task! As Semsley said, QB can do it. and I know that TAS can do it beautifully. I would like to type in manually since I only have Instant!
I've also noticed big errors when using office integration, where it doubles up some of the figures, toals and such like. It's worth chacking through anything you open in excel just to be sure
Take a look at Onion, gives you Sage P&Ls, Balance Sheets, departmental TBs and much more in Excel. 30 day free trial and an annual licence for a very modest cost. www.onionrs.co.uk
