I've been looking for a product which is available in the USA but I'm not sure if it is available in the UK and I got to looking at this UK product.
Let me expand on this. It all started off with me taking a note of the time I go to bed each night (or early morning) and then when I get up in the morning. All part of the diary of my life - if I don't write it down at the time I'll forget it. I started off writing it on a dry wipe board in my bedroom. My next thought was if I had a grid printed with the days of the week and a box for the times. I printed an A4 page out, had a cardboard for the back of it for strength and a clear sheet of plastic (the kind used for reports etc) to write on with a dry wipe marker pen. It does work but is not ideal.
The product I saw in the USA was a sheet that could go through a printer and was similar to dry wipe. But I can't find it in the UK. An alternative would be clear plastic that I could use to write on and print a normal page that the plastic would go over. The folk that make Magic Board make this but not in A4 size.
So has anyone used any product from Magic Board? Has anyone seen their original product and is it any use. I'm also thinking of ordering 20 A4 sheets of the white wipe sheet.
Incidentally the diary of my life is all part of my bid to lose weight. Since I passed my driving test about 4 years ago my weight has ballooned. I'm taking a note of everything. When I get up and go to bed. The amout of calories in each meal. The times I do exercises each day. I have an 8½ minute exercise routine I try to do at least once every hour. I also take a note of the amount of coffee I go through - I was originally going through a minimum of 6 cups of coffee with 2½ sugars down to 2 cups a day with 1 sugar. Since I bought my new scales on 23rd January I have lost 16 pounds. I've probably lost 2 stone since the start of the year.
I can't do normal exercises like going out jogging etc - I had an operation on my back in 1995 and ever since then I have lost a lot of the power in my right foot.....or really just the toes. I can still drive but if I try running my leg would just give way. Crossing the road can be funny if I have to get a move on.

To appreciate coffee you might want to forget the sugar altogether, tastes like earwax for the first few cups but after that it is nectar, only problem i have is that chocolate tastes even better with coffee now and i'm sure this wouldn't aid you at all.

Neil.
I agree with the removal of sugar in tea & coffee. Took me about a week to get used to it but now, even a grain of sugar in them makes them taste soooo sickley. YUK
Unfortunately, what does make tea & coffee taste even better, is if drunk immediately after eating a bacon sarny yum yum. Again not so good for the weight loss.
Bill
PS Neil: Always wondered what ear wax tasted like, now I know
I'm sure, what with Peasie giving it his all, that us listing the major food groups Bill, won't be appreciated.
Neil.
(Earwax is NOT a major foodgroup, even if Bear Grylls did survive for forty days and forty nights within the lost city of Atlantis with not much else to eat)
As an alternative, would overhead projector transparency sheest be any good?
When I said I was using the plastic used for report covers - it is actually the overhead transparency sheets I was using as report covers. I bought an overhead projector on Ebay. Cost a fortune to get it delivered. I then bought the sheets. I then thought, why on earth have I bought an overhead projector so I gave it away on Freecycle when I saw someone was looking for one for their studies. I was left with the transparency sheets.
As I said before, they aren't ideal. I will give them a go printing on them directly.

Watch out for natural sugars in fruit Peasie, of course fruit is full of vitamins and very good for you but the natural sugar is also fattening, if you are going to do 5 a day do 3 veggies and 2 fruits.
Neil.
You can eat as much veg as you like, no consequences, well i say none.......Parp!

Its funny but no matter what time I go to bed I always seem to wake up the same time the following morning, it is always within a 5 minute range, bit twighlight zone if you ask me.
My advice on the diet is to try GREEN TEA, not only is it good for you but most supermarkets sell it in different flavours. I swear by it and no added sugar.
There's nothing wrong with the dry wipe board. That's what I used to start with. I just get an idea in my head and it evolves from there. It's not just for the times each day - I would like to be able to take a sheet of white dry wipe material and print on it anything in my laser printer. This is something they are working on.
I've ordered the A4 sheets as well as dry wipe post it notes. Might seem daft given the cheap cost of post it notes but I just don't like them. I think the stuff I get from Magicboard will either be a waste of money or the best thing since manufacturers took away the need to cut bread into individual slices yourself.
Green tea - I think I'll give that a miss. I've started eating "5 a day" - a pear, banana, orange, apple and raisins. Unfortunately I put on weight to start with. I ate these as well as my normal meals rather than instead of.
Thinking back I did wake up at the exact same time each morning (and no - I wasn't using an alarm clock). I'd just wake up and the clock was always at that time. Currently the clock next to my bed is 9 hours 20 minutes fast. I know I should change it. It means I've got to look at my phone if my brain hasn't woken up yet to see the right time.

I have the calories counted for everything I eat. I even changed they type of milk I bought. I previously bought it because of the colour of the lid. I've now changed to one with less calories although it does mean buying milk with a green lid. I was going to buy spam the last time I was at Morrisons but that has a ridiculous amount of calories so I went with another product.
I go with these calories : Apples 63 Oranges 99 Pears 37 Bananas 178 Raisins 80
I've found out a slice of bread is 80 calories. To think of the amount of calories I used to go through late at night as I'd have toast slice after slice after slice. The chocolate spread or peanut butter I'd have with them didn't help things.
I now walk down to Morrisons each Wednesday rather than just shopping by car every fortnight. Similarly I used to cycle to Farmfoods once a week and load up my bike with milk - now I just walk down and just but two cartons each time.

I actually nearly bought one of them Magic Wands (remote control thingy) that were on Draogns Den after seeing them in a gadget shop in town. I decided against it as i would only of used it to "Potter" around the house.
