I have passed - 68%, not a great result and I am a bit disappointed, but I think that there was a lot of questions (variations of questions) that were not in my BPP text book.
Practically in every question there were percentages - I have made a list of the questions - notes as I was going and if somebody is interested I type them up. Loads on budgeting, practically no variances, loads of quite long calculations - nothing like in my BPP book.
Mixed feelings really....
I have also checked the ACCA web site, expecting to see the results there - and nothing - I have done F1 and F2 now, and was expecting to see at least the F1. On my first certificate (F1) it says that there will be a note on the F2 certificate that I have passed F1, but there is nothing. ACCA web site doesn't seem to work - it never works when I try to log in....and last time I emailed them it took three months for them to reply and then they only replied to half of my question.....
Shall I contact the centre where I took the exams and question them, call ACCA directly......I really do not want to re-do the exams if something is not being processed correctly.....
BJ, don't knock yourself out, it's not just a pass, it's 18% better than a pass. Well done. Had my fingers crossed for you all day (made it a bugger of a job to type I can tell you!).
Get in touch with the ACCA helpdesk. They're really freindly and helpful and will confirm your passes over the phone for you. I've actually found their emails to be a lot better now so you may see an improvement if you try that again.
Personally I've had two issues. First was an issue over not recording my experience on the site but their records showed up properly and the site got sorted later. Second was taking online payment for sitting three exams twice! That one I panicked about a bit more and phoned them twice whilst waiting for a refund. However, sure to there word it all got resolved.
If you've got a couple of bits of paper with your passes on then you've got no worries. If there's a problem they'll fix it. (all in all they seem to have a really good customer service).
HTH,
Shaun.

I think that the key thing to take away from F2 is to buy the Kaplan rather than BPP books for the next paper!
Just get through F3 and then onto the interesting papers where you get to sit in an exam hall for 3.5 hours a time for two sittings a year.
I actually prefer the essay questions to the questions that you get in the early papers as they're based on scenario's rather than stand alone questions and it's a;ways nice to actually feel as though your solving a real life situation rather than doing an exam... Even though it is one.
You'll know after the next peper whether it's management or financial accounting for you. Unfortunately you have to take both paths but as you go through the papers one will be an absolute joy to study whilst the other never quite is.
Fingers crossed that by the time you get to paper P5 the ACCA have a better examiner than the one that set the December paper (only 28% of people passed. How ridiculous is that. I've read it and I really couldn't fathom what the examiner was looking for in question 1 which carried a high percentage of the marks of the paper).
Anyway, sure you'll be fine.
Keep posting your questions on here to keep me on my toes as I'm sure that you're going to hit things that I've either forgotten else they've introduced to the sullabus since I did my papers (F3 used to be 1.1).
All the best, now go open that wine bottle and have a well deserved night off,
Shaun.
