Last years P11D was incorrect - what now?
Permalink Closed

Hi all

There appear to have been a couple of useful P11D posts in the past here so I hope someone can help me with this query.

I joined this company late last year, so am just about to start completing my first P11D (and first ever come to that!).

I've been reviewing what was submitted last year to ensure I don't miss anything, and have noticed that the previous Financial Controller deducted £100 from her healthcare bill which she labelled as "excess paid".

I'm not certain, but I can't find any evidence of her having made a financial contribution to the private healthcare and I suspect that she has deducted this money as an excess she had to pay on recieving treatment through the scheme.

I don't think this is right?  Could you confirm?

Assuming it was wrong, what should my next move be?

No, it's not right! You need to submit a P11D correction for last year. It's unlikely you'll pick up a penalty, but not impossible.
