Sage Instant with Sage 50 Client Manager
Permalink Closed

Hi. This may be a silly question, but is Instant compatable with Sage 50 Client Manager. I have just upgraded my own sage to Client Manager, but have a client I will visiting who has Sage Instant. He wants me to take his data and work on it each month for bank recs, VAt etc, and then send it back to him.

Is this possible? Will he be able to reload the data after its been updated on my Client Manager software?

Thanks,

You can certainly upload Instant onto Client Manager as Client Manager is compliant with all versions from Instant through to the highest Line 50 version.

Not sure if you then work on it if you can then give it back to the client and they can restore. (i expect you can using the recording facility)

Best thing would be to call the Client Manager SAGE helpline.

Regards

You need to be careful sending backups back because the versions of Instant do not always line up with the client manager versions.

It also depends which version you and your client are on. If it is an older version there is a watermark utility sage will send you to fix this.

Hope this helps

Hi, you can actually leave your old version of sage and create new company separately therefore having the older and newer version to work with. If you have support I would suggest calling them and asking how to do if you do not know how but it is basically naming where you would like to save the new file. Certainly there would be a compatability problem in returning the back up if you have a higher version.
