In the spirit of honesty and unambiguity, which as bookkeepers/accountants we should abide by any way. I would like to say that I am now a tutor at Premier Training.
However, I post here as myself, and I am not here to try and sell Premier Training's courses, and any point I may say is the view of myself and nothing to do with Premier Training.
So to cut a long story short, anything I may say in error is my mistake alone, and any comment which may display my innate desire for Man Utd not to win the premiership is my opininion and not company policy (yet!).

Shame that your not representing them though because we've got representitives of Training Link and Ideal schoold on here so Prfemier was the only one missing from the three that I recommend newbies to look at.
Actually, on the grounds that Dave (Training link) gave an offer to site members for a level III ICB course the other day why not convince the powers that be at Premier to offer some similar site deal?
kind regards,
Shaun.
P.S. any idea yet which course / courses are you going to be a tutor on?

Hi Nick, Becoming a tutor is something i am seriously considering at the moment. I wish you all the best in your new job, and hope it is as rewarding as i expect it to be.
If you have any pointers for me on how best to prepare to become a tutor i would be grateful. I hope to become AAT qualified later this year/very very early on next year.
Shaun, i mainly teaching AAT but do cover bookkeeping, payroll and ACCA, i am trying to steer clear of CIMA at the moment as there isnt much cross over from my ICAEW background. I also do some subcontract work for other awarding bodies and learning providers, so i am just here for myself really. I dont think they need me advertising them, and to be honest they always seem to get plenty of good comments on here!
As regards becoming a teacher i find it is alot more satisfying than working in practice. I would definitely recomend finishing your AAT and get some experience of working in an accounting role before becoming a teacher. As i think it is easier for an accountant to become a teacher than a teacher to become an accountant. I was at a teachers conference last month and met a few teachers who had just got a teaching qualification and thought "what can i teach? oh they need a bookkeeping/accountancy teacher, i will do that" and i think if you dont have the underpining knowledge you are not as good of a teacher than somebody who knows what the student is learning and working towards.
