I incorporated a new company for a client yestreday afternoon through an online formations service. Everything seemed to go fine and the information was accepted.
This morning I have received an email saying the name has been rejected as it's too close to another companies name.
Have the rules on naming companies changed as other than the first 3 initials of the company name. it is different as the business service afterwards is completely unique. I didn't just use UK to make it different - as I know this can cause problems.
Using UK can cause its own complications. You usually have to justify it. Most online formation agents don't allow it through the system (I am sure there are some that do)
