Open Sage Instant V17 backup file in V16 ?
Permalink Closed

Hi All,

I need to open a Sage Instant V17 backup file in Sage Version 16 ,  Is there a way to do this or convert it back easily?

The reason for this is I'm working with a colleague  to get a clients accounts up to date and they use V16 multi company

Thanks

No, as far as I know, you can't open data from a newer version of Sage in an older version.

Hi,
I don't know whether it will be relevant but my collage used to sent me "companies" to training on and my sage (instant Account) went crazy. I even asked for help on this forum. In the end I e - mail sage support and they explained to me, that most likely I try to open data from Sage line 50 on my Instant account. And there was way (not very easy though) to do it....
