Calculator to work out company car v mileage claims
Permalink Closed

Does anybody know if their is a calculator available either online or in excel which will calculate whether a client is better getting a company car and fuel against claiming mileage at 45p and 25p.

I have read articles which state that unless you do over 20,000 miles then mileage cliams would normally be easier to administer and better tax wise too.

Any links or pointers would be great.

Ben

HMRC website has a BIK calculator to work out the BIK for car and fuel.

The unknown factor is of course the running costs of the car ie petrol, insurance, repairs, MOT, road tax as these wont be known until they have been expensesd.
