why don't you use 12Pay for Payroll its alot cheaper than Sage and does the same job, that will then cut your costs back.

Hi All

I have just received my renewal for my Sage Accountants Club Priority Link membership for the following year.  Although I work as a freelance bookkeeper, my account manager at Sage recommended I join the Accountants Club for a better deal.  On my software I can process 10 clients using Sage Accounts and 10 clients for Sage Payroll.  The cost is £1,395.00 for the year, I just wondered if anyone is getting a better deal, I could possibly get away with 5 clients for Accounts and Payroll, this may bring the price down.  I am an ICB member, I don't think they get any special deals.  Any advice or comments would be much appreciated.

Regards

Remington

I pay about £800 for client manager which gives me 25 client licence for accounts.  Dont do payroll work so dont have payroll other than a standalone version to show clients how it works.

This is my first year fee and therefore would expect the fee to rise next year though given i only have a few clients that i do bookkeeping for i may move them over to VT next year as i already have the accounts package to do year end accounts.

Regards

MarkS

hi, Im looking at doing as Amanda suggested and using another company for payroll - I have demonstrations for Iris and Tas (still sage but cheaper) as I wanted to find a software not too disimilar to sage set up. Amanda is right 12pay and a few others are even cheaper, Im just struggling with trying not to change too much.

It is fair to say that sometimes our ex-Sage users find things somewhat different (and therefore slower) for the first couple of periods, but after they've got used to the slightly different processes they often find that they are completing their payroll runs significantly faster than with their old software.
