can you use a trial version of sage for ICB level 3 exam

Hi do you know if you can use a trial version or student version of sage to take the level 3 computerised exam?

If so do you know where I could get one? Or an old copy, I only need it to take the exam and prehaps some practice before hand.

Sorry but this does not answer your question, I am also looking for a free trial software to do level II icb, I have tried vt transaction, but I can't print all the reports, and quick books I am having problems to log in. Do you know any other free trial software I can use

ICB do not expect you to produce reports that your software is unable to produce.

The idea is that the exam is about proving that you are capable of computerised bookkeeping, not that one is proficient with Sage which is why the ICB dropped the SAGE data CD.

Can't remember which post it was but James of the ICB actually posted on here stating that VT was fine to use for the exam and you would not lose points because of the reports that could not be produced.

On whether the trial version of Sage is ok for the exam it is although it does have some reports missing it does have all of those that are required.

I think that most people get their trial Sage 50's from the Sage course in a box. The price varies greatly in price, one day it's £145 per level, the next it's £25 per level! Go figure.

Whatever price you pay though the VT Accounts trial (with VT Transaction+ thrown in) will still be cheaper even if it doesn't have all of the required reports.

Not sure which reports you need to provide for the ICB exams, but have you thought about using Sage One? You can get a free 30 day trial before you need to start paying anything.

Just a thought.....
