I am ACCA finalist with around 3 years experience in internal management accounts preparation (including VAT returns and bank reconciliation etc.) I also have around 2.5 years of part time experience in VAT returns, bank reconciliation and payroll preparation working for a practice.
I am working 9am till 5pm in Birmingham (UK) Monday to Friday. I need to earn some extra cash. £50 a week would do. Anything more would be a bonus. I am thinking of starting my own bookkeeping services but need some advice. Any comments and suggestions would be much appreciated.
Well, I'm not at all convinced by online offerings but that's a whole other debate that has been done many times on here.
Kris has hit the nail on the head wityh MLR and PII.
Besides that don't forget that whatever you do you need to stay within the confines of ACCA regulation 8 or you'll lose all of your work to date in getting you to where you currently are with their qualification.
I would suggest searching this site quite a lot as there is a wealth of information in here for people just starting out down the self employed route.
Good luck and look forwards to chatting soon,
kind regards,
Shaun.
