Hi Tony

I could not find any information on "Settles" at all linked with taxi radio equipment but as far as I can see there is noe reason why it would not be standard rated supply (unless possibly it is some form of leasing agreement/ finance for the radios)

Might need to quiz the client a bit more, and get a copy of any document related to the contract

Bill

Hi
Cheers.

I am told that the client asked the VAT people and they confirmed that it was not VATable.

I was hoping someone else had done a Taxi Co accounts and this might light a bulb!

I asked 2 accountants this question and I got 2 different answeres.

Tony

I think what you need to do is find out exactly what "Settles" actually supplies.

If it is some form of finance for the radio equipment, then it might be exempt but otherwise I would have thought standard

It is literally for the hire of the "set" ie Radio.

They may be a taxi association, if they are then the suppy will be vatable. (if they are registered for VAT themselves)
