claiming eye tests and glasses

My boss in my Employed job has asked me to find out the following: are we able to claim anything from the government in regards to eye tests and possibly the actual cost of the glasses themselves or at least a percentage for employees of the company??.

Thanks in advance as always

Hi

I don't think that the employer can claim anything back from the government but he may have to pay for a basic eye test & glasses provided that the employee qualifies

I have found this http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/HealthAndSafetyAtWork/DG_10026668 and about half way down is the piece on eye tests
