I've been reading on this forum to try and make a final decision on where to get an additional qualification in payroll/bookkeeping. I think I've decided to go for the ICB complete course package. There are a few online providers that provide this full course, but I was wondering if anyone has advice on which is best for the price? Also, has anyone studied from abroad? I'm currently living in Las Vegas, but moving back to the UK next year - hence I want to get additional qualifications before I return. I know ICB work with Pearson Vue and they have a location in Las Vegas, so I should be OK for the centre based exams. Right?
Any advice on which online course provider provides best value for money would be great! I have some payroll experience, but haven't done any bookkeeping, hence I feel the need for an online course with tutor support.
Many thanks in advance for any help!
Fiona
PS - just to add, I'm currently thinking of Training Link or Ideal Schools for the complete course. Training Link is cheaper, but Ideal Schools offer fully licensed Sage software. Is it worth the extra money?

It might be an idea to drop ICB an email, as they have experience in offering their examination for overseas members. Just had a quick look on their website, and they say they have 5200 examination centres around the world so I am guessing they use Pearson Vue
I've decided to go with Training Link based on their response time and information provided in these responses plus the fact they include Sage certifications and they have a Fast Track option. Though if I were doing the course to set up my own business and was UK based, I would probably have gone for Ideal Schools, as they currently offer a fuller package for less (currently providing 15% discount).
Whilst not detracting from the excellence of some of the other available options I think that you've made a good decision.
Training link do genuinely care about their courses and their students.
Also I know that Training link work with the full Sage line 50 rather than Sage Instants which is more atuned to what you will be using in the real world if you use Sage.
Good luck going forwards with your exams and many thanks for keeping the forum informed of your choices,
Any additional assistance, explanations needed during your studies please feel free to post on here as for every person asking a question there are twenty more sitting somewhere scratching their heads over the same cunnundrum.
kindest regards,
Shaun.
