Hi

I'm currently studying Stage 1 of Sage 50 accounts, can anyone let me know what I should be studying in order to take the exam, also can you buy exam pass papers for each stage?

Dont know if this is possible as the exam is done by computer?

Many thanks

Hi Kelly,

Welcome to the forum.

Well, it's certainly not like Sage to miss any opportunity to sell you something!

Everything that you should need to study will be in the three manuals in the box (I'm assuming you bought the stage 1 course in a box?).

I suppose that a good practice for the Stage 1 certification would be to do the AAT Osbourne book Computer Accounting, a practical guide for Sage accounting courses by Michael Fardon that has an extended test at the end of it.

You might also try Computerised Book-keeping by Dr. Peter Marshall that has several ICB, IAB and OCR exams for computerised bookkeeping at the back.... I say at the back, they fill half the book!

If there are better options available someone will be along imminently with other suggestions but hope mine help to get you started,

kind regards,

Shaun.

Thank you Shaun for your recommendations, unfortunately Ive bought all 3 stages of Sage 50 Accounts and feel really out of my depth at the moment.

I think stage 3 will be going on Ebay !!!!!!!!!

I didn't think that it would be a problem to learn computerised book keeping having been a book keeper for many years.

Many thanks once again.

Kind regards

Kelly
