Thanks Sweetpea. You can use either the Journal interface (great for trained bookkeepers) or the Transfers panel.

Note by default the terms used in Accountz are 'From' and 'To'. Click on the Tools > Language option and select 'English - Accountant' if you want those switched to Credit and Debit.

Recording depreciation or anything else in Accountz is simply a matter a moving money From (Credit) one account To (Debit) another. So for depreciation for example, you would Credit Depreciation Fixed Asset and Debit Depreciation P&L (obviously you would have used names more suitable for your depreciation accounts).

Note: Everything is editable so you can change things if you make a mistake or need to redo something later. You can also lock down transactions and periods to stop accidental mistakes.

Hi Ghames,

I downloaded a trial, but wasn't impressed when I compared it to the likes of VT Transaction+. It seemed over complicated for what it was in some places and too simplistic in others.

Hi Kris, thanks for the feedback. Perhaps you could give some examples of what you mean? (with apologies to the poster of this thread for going off topic).
