Bank activity report
Permalink Closed

Hi

Can anyone please tell me how I print off a report showing me all of the activity on a single bank account but sorted by date in Sage 50 -2010

The only report I can find so far is the nominal activity report but that is sorting by transaction number.

I've tried exporting records to excel by the whole thing just hangs.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Linda

Hi Linda

Not that I am aware of - I have asked one of my techies to see if it can be edited via report designer.

In the short term OptegraPivot will do this for you.

You can have a go with the free trial version and it will enable you to get a full nominal activity in excel without having sage open so as to avoid the crashing issue you are having.

Do you want to try this?

We can show you remotely how it works if you like.

Thanks

Jeremy

Hi Linda

Yes this can be done - via report designer.

Select the report you want to use in Sage - then click on Edit

Report designer will open up. To avoid messing with the original I would press 'save as' (to create a new file)

On the top their is a button titled "Report" - click on this, then "Sorts"

You will see that the sort is set to the transaction number. You can then add the AUDIT_JOURNAL.DATE line and remove the AUDIT_JOURNAL.TRANSACTION_NUMBER if you like, or move it below the date line to sort by date and then transaction number.

Click OK then Save (again - make sure it is not the original Sage report)

Now select this new report when you run the nominal activity report and it will show you the report in date order

Hope that helps

Jeremy

Wow, Jeremy, you've been extremely helpful. I have looked in report designer and then decided it was a bit beyond me so if you could give me guidance where to put the report you did I'd be really grateful.

Linda

Hi Linda

Here is a video we have done for you  and other BK members (we love videos...)

Now, select the report from "My Nominal Reports" as per the second attachment and you are good to go.

Glad we could help - you know who to call if you have any Sage Reporting requirements...

Thanks

Jeremy
