This applies for most recent versions up until the newest (2013) which I have yet to install and play with (so I don't know if they've changed anything).
Go into statements, and select the one you want to use and click edit.
On the right hand side of the screen/window should be a panel called Properties. If it isn't there, click on the View menu, and click on Properties in that; the panel should then appear.
Now select the items in the report that for which you want the text to be in red.
In the Properties panel, look for "Text Style". It's probably showing as folded/collapsed (all on one line) with a "+" sign to its left. Click on the plus sign, and the text properties will unfold.
A little way down the list will be one called "Color" (Overpuddlian spelling, ugh, *spitspitspit* - I now hate Sage even more than I did before). It'll probably be showing black - click on that to select it, then on the arrow to open the coloUr menu, and choose the coloUr you want.
Once you've done, save the report (possibly with a different name so that you haven't changed the original) and say hello to uncle Bob.
