Hi peeps,

the above company has just phoned me up offering a listing on their directory, does anyone on here pay for a listing with them and has it been worth while and gained you clients?

Look forward to your reply smile

Hi Lor,

I have a rule, I dont pay for directory listings - especially in directories I've never heard of. The only way you'll get business from them is if someone is looking for your service and uses them, or they appear higher on a google search than your site. I do accept that they can sometimes add to your SEO, but some directories can actually harm it too.

I agree. I don't think it's necessary to pay for a directory listing. You'd get minimal (if any) business from the listing directly and you can free listings at many places anyway. No reason to pay!
