Hi, I am looking for the nominal code to post to Sage 50 fro the hire of the poilce for a festival and also the British Red Cross, please note we are a charity.

As you would have to hire these people as part of the conditions of running the festival, I would post them to Cost of Sales (5000 range in Sage).

Not one to argue as I have nowhere near the knowledge or experience of Liz, but I'll throw my thoughts in. Wouldn't you have to hire them anyway regardless of whether anyone turned up? This to me looks more like a direct cost. Then again I struggle to think of the best nominal range for a few things at work already smile

It's very nearly almost the same thing. It would be in the 5000 range, as I said.

Hi

 

Thank you both for your input.  It's quite tricky dealing with a charity when you have only worked in traditional COA before.  I'm probalby trying to be too clever or thinking too much about it all!
