Upgrading Sage and Data
Permalink Closed

Hi all.

I have Sage 50 multi business; (I know, I can hear you screaming; but alot of my clients want it / use it!) Anyway, the accountant I do some work for has given me a copy of the latest version, to allow me to update my slightly older v16 to v19, so I am compatable with him.

I am therefore wondering what is the best / quickest way to get the data backed up and then loaded onto the newer version?

I have 13 clients sets of company data, and the only way I can think to do it is to go into each company, and back it up, then load the new Sage version, then fianlly go in and 'restore' each set of company data onto the new v19.

Is this the best way to proceed? Is there a quicker (but 100% reliable) way of getting each companies data onto the newer version of Sage? I cannot believe that bookkeepers / accountants who have perhaps 50+ clients on multi business Sage go in and take an indivdual backup, and then restore of each individual set of data?

Many thanks, (and Happy New Year!)

Hi Liz

As far as I am aware you need to upgrade each company individually.

Regards

Mark
