Hi Guys. If possible could you please recommend classroom based bookkeeping courses to me please. In particular, level one. I see many online courses advertised, however I think I'd prefer to be taught in a classroom. The areas, at least easiest areas for me are Birmingham and Wolverhampton. I have searched various online college courses, however my searches have been fruitless. I thank you in advance.

Hi Dwain,

welcome to the forum.

how about studying AAT level 2 with Kaplan in Birmingham.

Or Pitman introductory bookkeeping course in Brum

Stafford college and Cannock technical college both run AAT courses and I cannot imagine that they are unique in the Midlands. Worst case scenario there is that Cannock is only 8 miles from Wolverhampton.

Its difficult to actually recommend face to face courses as the quality is based on the skill of the person running the course and from one course to the next you may not get the same teacher.

Even though classroom based you will find that the study is iceberg sort of proportions with the bit in class being the tip above the water with an awful lot to be done outside of class.

Do you want to fill in a bit more detail as to your background, your expectations of the course and the career path, what is drawing you to the profession, etc. And we may be able to guide you towards the right qualifications for your requirements (There are an awful lot of them and it's very easy to choose the wrong one... And even the right one's come with no guarantee of employment at the end of them... Not that the study ever ends!).

kind regards,

Shaun.
