Is this possible?

I've looked at HMRC pages and the only mention of paying it by telephone is by using telephone banking. Client doesn't have a cheque book or use online banking. Client also doesn't have a computer so can't use BillPay. He says he paid by phone last year but I think there was correspondance over an earlier return and he may have been given the option because of that.

Also, how long does it take between me entering the authorisation code sent by letter to client to me actually being able to file a return online using this? I've never bothered timing things before as it has always been midway through a year - never around deadline time. It won't be too much of  a problem as I can always file usinng his own log-in. Will it being the weekend affect this? (Does it still have to be looked at manually).

I'm pretty sure once you enter the authorisation code you can immediately submit returns

I was meaning using the HMRC software as it is straightforward stuff. Lo and behold by the time I get in this evening the name has appeared in the list of clients.
