I need to set up a Ltd Company for a new Bookkeepng client of mine and I wanted to know the best place to do this. I have in the past used an Accountant but I notice there are various companies on the internet offering their services much cheaper than my Accountant but are they reliable and able to do what I need?
It is a single Director 100% Shareholing Ltd Company doing groundwork/Maintenanace.
Why don't you do it or help you client do it via the Companies House website? It sounds as if it;s a bog standard company that needed so the model articles of association will be fine. CH charge £18, IIRC. It really isn't rocket science for a sole director/shareholder company.
A few have used my company formations services - www.completebookkeeping.co.uk apologies not up and running for next few days as re-building website - but should be up by the weekend. the company formations takes you through step by step and can be up and running within 3-4 hours.

I set my last one up using www.companiesmadesimple.com and it was all incorporated within 1.5 hours! It cost me about £57 inc VAT for the silver package (but you can get cheaper ones)...however, I was pretty impressed as I got a free London registered office address for a year, a free .co.uk URL (if that's of interest), 10% discount at a logo designer's website, plus an online library of standard business docs. My first 'meeting minutes' were drafted and emailed to me (so I can just use the same basic wording and amend to suit my needs).
I usually use either Wisteria Formations or Companies Made Simple. The latter I am finding much better recently as it keeps a portfolio of you comapnies and their information. It is also a bit cheaper at £16.99
