Many good points here, but have you considered what you can do with the software you receive upon completion of study. Is if multi-company able, does it last for more than 180 days. Cheapest option may be convenient short-term, but do you eventually pay more.
Regardless of your preferred provider I hope you gain your qualification successfully. Best of luck.

In the event, I have signed up with Open Study College to save a little extra money (they have a limited offer on at the moment) but your Training Link option is a very good price, and looks like a good offering, too.
Good luck with your chosen course provider and I am sure you will receive excellent service, but there is a lot more to consider that just price when it comes to distance learning, such as quality of materials, how long it takes to receive marked assignments back, software you will be learning on etc.
Again good luck and let us (the forum) know how you get on.
You'll know who they are, so I'm glad to see you consider they're of a good calibre But price is important, of course, when we have to pay for our own tuition out of profits. Bookkeepers don't make a huge amount of profit, it seems to me. (As I said, though, your price does look extremely fair).
I will be able to check out the scope of the course and the quality of the materials once they arrive on my doormat, and this is where the distance-selling cooling off period comes in useful. If it's all block printed on animal hide I'll know I've backed the wrong horse.
Have a look at this seen as the subject has got onto the big 'H'. Hopefully its attached okay as I can't seem to copy and paste it!
edit I was sent it on an email and it make me chuckle!
cheers

Hi Amanda.
Lol yes very funny, I wonder how many of us have eaten horse and not known about it? I am a butcher by trade and to think of how many small butchers shops ceased to trade because of the large supermarkets buying power, I for one will never purchase meat from a supermarket again, support you local butcher thats what I say, maybe pay a little more but its worth it for the quality and customer service.

Brian, that didn't come over very well if you're out to wow the customers. So silly of me not to have thought - even for a moment - about what I can do with the software after 180 days. Stand in the corner and call myself Pike. Now I will end up paying more ...
Really? Actually, I have a fair idea of what I need and, as it turns out, a payroll program is not even on the list.
What is on the list is a well specified syllabus that covers all the (many) aspects of payroll where I know I have absolutely no expertise. Also, because I find coping with distance learning a little difficult sometimes, I am actually happy to spend more to find a provider whose tutoring process is really good and will get me though it. I rather feel I need that more than luck, but I thank you for the wishes.
I'm sorry if I have caused any offence as that was certainly not my intention. obviously I am not aware of your own businesses software requirement and was merely pointing out that there were options available where you could obtain software for continued use as part of your training. Clearly this is not relevant in your case and, as I said previously, I do wish you the very best of luck with your study.
I'm sorry too; cold light of day and mea culpa. I get too sensitive sometimes. I can see you were only stating one of your course's advantages. Back to work now
