Hello !

My name is Adrian and I am happy to join the forum.

After three years of hard work, I have completed the AAT qualification, bought the Bookcert kit and now I am all focused on developing my own business.

Any advice is highly considered.

Many thanks

Adrian smile

Thank you for the fast reply !

By any means, should I first look forward to work for free for a well established bookkeeper before I consider to start my own business ?

Many thanks

Adrian

No

You are worth more than 'free'

If you've got the snowglobes to get this far, continue with your own business but just take things easy, nice and slow. Don't take on
any work you are unsure of until you have built your confidence.

I'm tired of offering my services for free, not that it has gotten me anywhere.

Just my opinion.

I may just be a grumpy sod today, today nothing is gratis lol.

Neil.

I've actually noticed that when people offer their services for free they get little take up.

Must be the mentality of businesses assuming that anything that they are getting for free is not worth having and the more your pay for something the better it is.

My new fee structure starts at £1k per hour(rounded to the nearest day).

I'm going to be beating em off with a stick. (lol)

Heh it's one of the perks of taking my 4 year old Granddaughter shopping, she has sticky fingers, proper Manc lass lol.

It was actually via a voucher, we had no reason to buy anything else so popped in and picked up some free chocolate.
