Hi,

Good Evening

Do you know when HMRC will issue new tax codes for employees.

I presume before we can update the new codes on the payroll software we must await the notification?

Thanks

Lynne

HMRC should have already issued them. If you have subscribed to PAYE Online at www.hmrc.gov.uk you should be able to obtain the details from there.

Thanks for quick reply.
Yes this is what I would have expected- however for two of my companies this does not seem to be the case, I have checked I am logged in for the current tax year.

Strange?

Maybe a lengthy call to HMRC tomorrow boohoo.

L codes automatically rise by 134. You don't need any notification for that.

Hi Tom,

Can you please confirm that all L codes rise by 134.

If the tax code was 350L for 2012/2013, does it mean that the new one is 484L?

Thank you.

Diona

Does anyone know where I can find information on changing different tax codes. Such as K codes, 0T, BR, or ones with a prefix.

Thanks

I asked the same question recently and have came to the conclusion that L codes are the only ones you can change yourself. The other ones can only be changed when HMRC send notification.
