Evening all,

Hey, I have to say what a cracking piece of software Moneysoft is. I have been dreading this month with the RTI changes taking effect. I have taken on a couple of new payroll clients and also it was the first time I had used Moneysoft. I have to say I am very pleased with it and I don't know why I was worrying so much, was so easy to use.....Far easier to use than some of the big ones!

Anyway my question is: Can you print payslips from Moneysoft onto a pre-printed payslip? I can only find the option to print various types ie Sage, Iris etc directly from the software.

Best wishes

Georgie

Awww Georgie you're just excited at your new software lol.

Yes, you can print on pre-printed stationery. Once you press the Print button at the top left you'll be asked if you've got plain or pre-printed stationery loaded in your printer.

BTW have a look at the 'Print and Post' button on the Toolbar as this will give you some more options. If it is not on the Toolbar already goto (Tools - Setup - Toolbar tab).

While you're there have a play with (Tools - Setup - Reports and Printing).

best wishes,
Tim

OOOOO Im so excited about Moneysoft too - Ive just downloaded it. Its superb! Plus its soooooo very much cheaper than Iris! On the subject still of payslips - Ive not bought any yet - anyone know of the best place to buy them (just the standard payslips, nothing fancy (and from a normal printer, NOT a continuous print one!)

Hi Cheshire,

Yes, try Formfactory.co.uk ...I ordered some and was very pleased with them. Just like the real thing but without their logo on...and half the price too!!

Hi Cheshire,

Do you really need to purchase printed payslips?  Moneysoft prints nice payslips in various formats on plain paper which are perfectly acceptable.  Anything to save a bit of money...lol

Just choose one of the those that prints two to a page and just fold the page in half. There are ones with three to a page but to make things simple the folding a page in half is easiest.

Just wanted to add - Ive used Moneysoft software for quite a while now and have always found it so user friendly - It also made RTI so simple.

Ive recommended it to many over the past few years.

I just used Moneysoft for the first time. Much easier than Quickbooks was. Love it.

Have to agree it really is an excellent piece of software.

I do not buy any payslips. I use the moneysoft format on plain paper and thats more than adequate.  I then simply email them to all my clients.

For RTI it is a treat to use. I had no problems with the software, and RTI became a bit of an anti-climax really.

I did have a bit of a trauma with the RTI side - wouldnt link me to the Gateway, kept saying my firewall was preventing it. It wasnt!!! It was a little known microsoft update to the root certificates that sorted it out following an update HMRC made some time back - took me ages to found out about it and how to sort it but boy was I pleased when I did.

Anyone needing it for XP:- On your PC - All Programs --Start --Windows Update--click on Custom box--- choose the Software option then pick the 'update for root certificate' --install.

Magic!

How the heck did you find out that that was what it was? lol Well done you anyway.

I did have one slight problem when submitting data for the first time, in that it told me that my client's Gateway password was incorrect. I knew it wasn't as I'd entered it very carefully. Then I remembered that I had the same problem when I submitted the P35 last tax year (2011-2012) and remembered that if I took the last two digits off the password it worked! Strange.

Yes! You can print payslips in a variety of styles and also on either plain paper or to pre- printed forms.
