Small office in Elvington is looking for a part time Bookkeeper/Accountant to work approximately 20 hours a week.  Primarily you will be responsible for basic bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, online HMRC VAT payments, monthly reconciliation of the trial balance and payroll. Experience in these fields are essential, along with good organisational skills. You will be involved in stock control, using advanced ERP systems, troubleshooting any discrepancies and stocktaking although experience of this is not essential; you need to demonstrate good understanding of these areas of industry.

A high level of numeracy is important, as well as experience of computerised accounts. Some knowledge of international trading would be desirable.

In addition, we require the successful candidate to be responsible for data entry, health & safety, answering the phone, dealing with enquiries, post and ensuring the smooth day to day running of the office.

There may be occasional international travel involved.
