I processed the payroll on Friday for a client, emailed the payslips & the tax summary etc and asked if everything was OK and could I submit the FPS...I still have not heard back, tried to phone several times and emailed but can't get any response. (Either gone on holiday or sick) The FPS was due to be submitted Friday, so now am undecided as to whether to go ahead and submit it anyway?? What should I do?
My own opinion is to wait. This is mainly based on the fact there is no fine for 2013-14 for the FPS being late. Only if the payments to HMRC are late.

Might also be worth pointing out now that if you do not get a response in time they will incur a fine in future, so you need to set up some contingency arrangements with them (eg emailing someone else if you havent heard back by a certain deadline or agreeing to submit the FPS and make adjustments later or even if its possible, preparing the payroll earlier to give you a couple of days to get a response back from your customer
