hi just wondering if you have to put benefits received like housing benefit or income support onto a tax return?

Thanks

depends on the benefit.

Tax credits are not entered, most others are.

Here's a full list of taxable benefits :

www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/eimanual/EIM76101.htm

And here's a list of the non taxable benefits :

www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/eimanual/EIM76100.htm

From the two mentioned looks like you have one in both camps at the moment,

kind regards,

Shaun.

Thanks Shaun

This was the list i was looking at and from what i could see they would both be non-taxable as the income support was for being off work for an injury and didn't sign on as unemployed.
So would i be right in thinking neither or these are entered onto the tax return.

Many Thanks
