Invoicing in Sage 50

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for your reply. However it does not seem to appear like that on my sage. I've attached the file, if you could have a look for me and say what you think.

Michelle

Hi,

I would like to ask about sales invoices in sage. If an excising business is starting using Sage and the first sales invoice issued in it must have a number 125 then what happens to the invoices 1-124? Sage automatically issues the first invoice with number 1. Is there an option on sage to give the first invoice number 125.

I would appreciate an answer.

Shelly

Hi Shelly

Yes you can change the start point in the invoices

  • Go To Settings
  • Click on Invoice and order defaults
  • Click on Options

You can then change the invoice start from box

Thanks

Jeremy

What version of Sage do you have?

If you send me the file I could restore it, change the invoice number and then send it back??

Will depend on what Year Sage you are using

Thanks

Jeremy

The backup file - email it to me at jeremy@optegra-financial.co.uk with login details.

Also confirm the invoice start point & I will send it straight back.

Completely confidential - I will delete the file from my server straight away.

Happy to help

Cheers

Jeremy

Wrrrr... I,m absolutely annoyed with this program.
I installed the 2013 upgrade yesterday and now it's not allowing me to log on Sage. I've tried to call the support but they are closed now.

I'm sorry but do you mind if I email you the file tomorrow?

Michelle

Hi Michelle

What was the login issue - maybe the old queue.dta issue.

I can help remotely tomorrow if that would help?

Cheers

Jeremy
