Paternity pay

Hi All if you pay an employee paternity pay do they still their full salary, I.e monthly pay is £1000.00 say do they still get that and paternity or reduce it to just two weeks pay and paternity? Thanks helping help never had to do paternity before

As far as I'm aware they will either receive just paternity pay and two weeks pay, or paternity pay plus a wage to make up to the amount of what they would normally receive. It depends on the terms of their contract. Hope that helps.
