Creating a Nominal Account

Hi All,

How does one create a nominal account? For instance,I have two different freight forwarding companies with two seperate nominal account numbers and I'd like to create a new nominal account for another freight forwarder. My accountant had created the other nominal accounts for the other respective freight forwarding companies,so I don't know how he went about it. Must I go on 'Configurations' and get the rights to be able to create such a nominal account number?

Hi David

Go to the Nominal Ledger Module, click on new and complete the new nominal wizard.

Give it a unique name, and then select the type (Direct Expenses, purchases etc)

Confirm the category (Chart range) and give it a nominal code (It can be consecutive to the other n/l codes for the FF companies.)

The important thing is that it is included in the chart of accounts.

It will then ask if there is an opening balance to enter, then finish
