Sage Training package on Groupon
Permalink Closed

Thought this might be of interest to some: £59 for a Sage training package.

Includes Sage 50 and Sage Instant.

http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/Learndirect/23108457

No certification, but that can be obtained from Sage directly for £55 if needed.

.....but a warning. This package cannot be accessed on Windows 8, or using the Chrome Browser. It doesn't want to work on Firefox either. Their helpful instructions are probably the worst and most incorrect I have come across. On their instruction I downloaded a programme called 'Update my PC' and ran a scan only to be told that their programme does run in Internet Explorer, but not Internet Explorer 10, and they had no solution. With Chrome and Firefox the programmes launched to 40% and then stopped. Repeatedly.

I managed to get it working on Internet Explorer after I had done several google searches, found the IE10 update, deleted it, restarted my computer, waited for 15 minutes while it re-configured, and finally, finally, after a couple of hours or so of messing around, have managed to load the first course.

Don't say I didn't warn you!

hi

I know this was about 6 months ago, but I have the exact same situation and when telling them there instructions do not work (or actually made it worse!) they either quote same info or just say a load of rubbish...

I have only emailed them back and forth and not phoned them just yet, as i do not feel they will be any help ringing them on a premium number.

So, would you be able to tell me how to fix the problem in a bit more detail please?

Thank you

Tim

fixed it :D

I fixed the problem by rolling Internet Explorer back to version 9, thanks to you pointing out where the problem lay.

Thank you very much for making this topic, the help it gave is unmeasurable :D
