Start Up Business Loans Available!

Hi

Came across this on the ICB website which enables new start ups to apply for a loan. Thought there may be a couple of BKNers who might be looking for some financial assistance? If so take a look.

Do you want me to change the heading Dave, not a problem if you want the word available slipped in there.

kind regards,

Shaun.

p.s. you had gone off line when I checked so I assumed that the change was what you wanted. I've added the word available and changed the question mark to an exclamation mark.

Cheers Dave thats really useful.

Interesting that they have dropped the age restriction as it used to be for sub 30's only plus I'm sure that when this was first released it excluded financial service industries which also seems to have disappeared.

Also worth a mention that whilst its from the ICB website its a general start up loan available to anyone no matter what their professional body so for anyone reading this don't assume the loans are for ICB members only.

Also remember that 24+ loans for level IV study are still available so now would be a great time for people to think about extending their knowledge base.

Nice to see the Government putting their weight behind getting the country moving don't you think. Big well done to them on that.

Cheers for the link Dave.

Kind regards,

Shaun.

Hi Shaun

Yes could give a couple of BKNers who are looking at starting their own business a helping hand, however my headline for this post probably wont get the views as I omitted the word available. lol Most will think it is about looking for funding as opposed getting funding. (its all in the wording)

ICB conference on Thursday, day will start at 4am for me and there is a dinner after the conference at around 1830 so god knows what time I will be home, but whatever time it is I still have to be in work on Friday morning. Still it is an enjoyable and informative event so will just spend Saturday in bed lol.

Note to ICB
Can we not have these events on a Friday lol?

Dave

No probs but bit inundated for the next 19 days or so, so there may be some delay in replies. Fingers crossed you'll catch me in one of those bugger this, I'm having some downtime with a coffee moments.

Sure that this thread will get lots of hits imminently... I may even keep bouncing it until they pull the plug on the funding as I think many people try to start too cheaply with too little reserve and do not appreciate how long finding the first few clients can take.

Pretty sure from reading the blurb that funding will depend upon a strong business plan... Hey, maybe I should start a side line selling business plans to bookkeepers! Ker Ching.

Talk later,

Shaun.
