An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as Head of Financial Management. - Provide financial support and guidance to business unit management and budget holders,
- Provide robust input to the annual financial planning process,
- Work with operational managers to identify and implement cost savings and report on their achievement,
- Advise on the performance of business units in terms of profitability and unit cost.

- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to act as the 'face' of finance within the wider organisation
- Your ability to lead and develop the team
- Your financial management expertise and knowledge of financial and budgetary control systems.
- Your ability to take a strategic view of finance within the wider organisation

Applicants from a range of different sectors including NHS, not for profit and private sector will be considered equally.

Company profile

Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides community based healthcare across the whole of Cumbria, seeing more than one fifth of the population in one year. They have had Foundation Trust status for six years, allowing them more freedom to decide how services are delivered locally, and increasing their accountability to the community. The Trust emerged in its current form relatively recently, having acquired the provision of a wide range of services from Cumbria PCT in April 2011. While the Trust's financial performance has historically been strong, the challenges presented by pressure on public sector finances mean that the need for effective financial management has never been greater.

What's on offer

£45,707 - £56,504, plus membership of NHS defined benefit pension scheme
