A newly created role for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to work for Yorkshire Ambulance NHS trust based in Wakefield for a highly commercial role to develop this area of the trust.

Key areas of delivery will include the following:

You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting and advice to the Commercial Directorate in respect of all issues of financial control.
    You will act as the point of contact for all financial issues in the Commercial Directorate, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis to aid the decision making of the Directorate and the direction of the business.
    You will be responsible for the preparation of annual and long-term strategic plans for the Commercial Directorate, monitoring actual performance against plan, contribute to contract negotiations, preparing major business cases and being a key member of Directorate management team.
    As Senior Commercial Finance Manager you will work with the Directorate to maximise and manage income by identifying new business opportunities; negotiate new contracts, extensions and variations; and improve profitability.
    You will manage a Business Finance Manager and Senior Business Finance Assistant and aid in their personal development.

Who we're looking for

As a Senior Commercial Finance Manager we would expect candidates will be highly commercial within their roles with experience of complex budget setting and reporting, development of business cases and business partnering. You will have proven commercial and business acumen and a track record of developing and implementing improvements in systems and procedures to influence business decisions. Experience within the NHS would be useful, but not essential and you will be CCAB ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA ) qualified. This role will be be based in Wakefield. In person you will be good at forging relationships with a variety of stakeholders an innovative approach with a proactive attitude to identifying and solving problems.
