A sole trader client has converted a room in her house to a treatment room. This involved a bit of work eg insulating, plastering, putting shelves up etc. The room is not solely a treatment room, it's used for personal stuff as well. What can she claim for this room? Can she claim some capital allowances for the building work? Use of home office? Thanks.
Probably be able to claim some of the improvements under integral features rule.
Be able to claim use of home under the normal % use or number of rooms rules with a slight disallowance for private use to avoid CG issues down the line.
