Good luck! Out of curiosity, why didn't you go with a registered body for MLR? Which one did you get your qualifications with?

Im AAT qualified (just quit ACCA), and to be honest their is just too many hopes to jump, and they probably wont have let me do self assessment tax returns as I don't have anyone (other than family members) to sign me off..

I probably will do in a year of 2, once I have some non bias clients :) but im happy with this route, might not get many clients as they cant see me attached to an association but we shall see, it works for some people :)

Bit of constructive criticism - there are a few grammatical errors on the services page. I can't copy n paste as I'm using my phone but you may spot them when re reading through.

Hi Stuart. Are you able to take the vistaprint logo off? You might need to upgrade your package if you are not on it already. Otherwise well done for getting in the right direction

Hi Stuart

I did'nt actually see the vistaprint on the bottom of your page, but knew it was because the wording is very similar to mine. Which package are you on? I just took the vistaprint label off, think it was very I rang them and it didnt cost me anything but I am paying £9.98 a month. Very best of luck in your new career.

Very best wishes

Lainy xx

With regards to the text, it's maybe worth having a look at it. I notice that most of your paragraphs start with 'we'. Ideally a website for a service like bookkeeping and accountancy should be focused on the client. There should be two or three "you's" to every "we".

Regarding ranking on Google, that ones not as easy as it seems.

Hi stuart, I think it did say that but mine was taken off, but then I had 2 have my business cards reprinted as they had done them wrong so maybe they were just being kind. I like your logo. One thing I would say but its only my opinion and others will probably disagree, but you have put your hours as evenings and weekends which is great and when a lot of small businesses want. But then you advertise payroll up to 100 staff. Which to me makes me think how can he do that evening and weekends. Im not saying don't advertise payroll but I wouldnt say how many 4 if you are targeting the evening and weekend market. The bigger firms will probably want daytime. Try to pick your target market rather than be a me too bookkeeper. Very best of luck lainy xxx

No reason why not being attached to association should hold you back from getting clients.

I just recently joined ICPA, before that wasnt attached to anyone and currently have about 120 clients.

Provided you price yourself right, come across well at introduction meetings and market properly the clients are out there.

Got meetings with 4 potentials lined up for this week already (3 ltd co and 1 sole trader)

Hi Stuart

Just had a look at your website and noticed there is no address to relate to or landline telephone number, hence what part of the country you service. Like the green colours for the site.
